PRAYERS FROM ODB

Reflect & Pray

Lord, You do take our breath away with Your greatness. Thank You for reminding us of Your grandeur in Your world and in Your Word.

Lord, we want our faith to be strengthened so that we can focus and trust You more fully.

God alone is worthy of our worship.

As we face our own battles and challenges, let’s remember that God is our best ally and protector, provider and promise keeper. He strengthens us when we’re willing to “serve up” a whole-hearted commitment to Him.

Reflect & Pray

Lord, I want to rely on You more fully. Sometimes I see only what is around me. Please help me to look up and to trust You more.

When we are abandoned to God, He works through us all the time. Oswald Chambers

WISDOM FROM PDFDRIVE

Be mindful when drinking tea.  Taking a mindful tea break is a powerful way to stop the racing mind and come to the present moment. Make a tea and as you drink it bring your attention fully to the experience by tuning into your senses. Feel the warmth of the cup in your hands, taste the tea with each sip, notice the sounds around you. When you feel your mind wandering, let go of thoughts and come back to the sensation of the warmth of the tea cup in your hands.

Her mother, a smile on her lips, didn’t try to stop her. My heart lifted as I watched, and I longed to join her—but didn’t. I’d long ago lost the unselfconscious expression of joy and wonder of my childhood. Even though we are meant to grow and mature and put  childish  ways behind us, we were never meant to lose the joy and wonder, especially in our relationship with God. When Jesus lived on Earth, He welcomed little children to Him and often referred to them in His teaching ( Matthew 11:25 ;  18:3 ;  21:16 ). On one occasion, He rebuked His disciples for attempting to keep pare...
